WE MOURN THE PASSING OF DR. STEPHEN COVEY

Professor Stephen Covey in his home

After Richard Bolls, one of my all time favorite authors in the career guidance field and Gail Sheehey of “Passages” fame, Dr. Stephen Covey holds an unshakable place as a monster influence upon my current job hunt attitudes and behavior( I introduced, “What Color Is Your Parachute?” to my daughter, who has been reading the annual since she was in middle school! The time will come for Dr. Covey).

We mourn the passing of a giant whose imprint on the hearts and minds of professionals across all levels has yet to be fathomed. After coming into contact with his first book, “7 Habits of Highly Effective People” back in the 70’s, each habit embedded itself in my thinking according to what stage of life I was in and  became part of the work of that season. The Habits have grown to take on new and deeper meaning as the years went by.

Fare thee well, sojourner. Your journey is beyond us now. Rest in peace.

  2. What a loss, but oh what a legacy he has left us. He will certainly live on in his work.
